20230916 Where do I even begin?

Foreword

Such a foreboding title. I have so much to say, yet it is so hard to properly formulate and piece together into a cohesive article for people to read and understand. I just want to get it out there for now, and whatever errors/hiccups that come by will be fixed later.

For now, I just want to thank the friends that I have with me that keeps me grounded and of sound mind with their words and company. And as disgruntled as I am with the recent governance of my country, I am grateful of the safety and stability overall.

It is here where I want to remind myself to guard myself from the temptations, the alluring, carnal desires of debaucherous nature. I will continue to work on myself, to be above fault, yet to remain humble and genuine in everything I do.

Yet, this is also my call to be on guard. To comprehend and make peace with the fact that this world is indeed cruel and unfair. I am reminded of a quote from Cpt Picard from Star Trek, which I will put here.

Yet, despite such odds, this is not a call to lose hope. I wish to elaborate more in a later post, when I delve deeper into nihilism, a topic which is often misunderstood.

Main body
Unity and Gamedev

It has been quite the week. As a game developer that works primarily on Unity, disappointment does not fully describe what has been going on there. I am currently holding back any development work on Unity as of now until there is a change to the incredulous, exploitative fees that were announced.

accepting cultural and religious practices, yet intolerable behaviour

So 7th Month is over, and so due to cultural and religious practices, there’s a lot of incense burning, food offerings and paper offerings. Yet, I cannot help but be disgusted and furious at the sad state of the aftermath. An unkempt mess of strewn paper notes, plastic wrapping and burnt candles. I will not tolerate such uncivil behaviour, and will be writing to my local MP regarding this.

Music composition

I am still continuing at a slow pace, learning scales and the circle of fifths. A lot of fumbling around, but I have some snippets that I feel sounds pretty ok. I have attached one of my latest creation below. Do leave your comments and suggestions how to improve.
